Mr. Gardner believes every young person, no matter who they are, where they come from, or the circumstances which surround them, should have equal access to opportunities and experiences that give them every opportunity in life. Yet, kids today do not. With 1 in 6 children living in poverty in the U.S. and a growing achievement gap, it is even more critical now that monumental change occurs. Quality after-school programs like DE Titans give all young people access to opportunities, leveling the playing field among all kids, no matter their economic status, race, gender, sexuality, or religion.
Mr. Gardner, his wife, and children are excited to be part of a wonderful community.
Corey Brown, born in Worton, Maryland and now resides in Bear, Delaware. I am a single father of 1 son. I’ve served 4 years active duty in the United States Army, 4 years Army Reserves, and 2 years of college. I am currently employed for 26 years at by Dupont Electronic Materials. I began my journey with DE Titans in 2015 after my son joined the program. I primarily train and help with the drills during the workouts. I tend to use my military background and incorporate those disciplines into my style of training. I also have some input with coaching and the game plans when we play in the tournaments. Overall, I just want to give my best to any kid wanting to be a part of the DE Titans family. My hope is to help them develop socially, academically, and athletically.
