The Delaware Titans Basketball Foundation, Inc., founded by Kevin Gardner in the year 2000, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with a social impact focus with goals to build young people’s competencies and provide support to aid their life development. We will provide recreational and educational opportunities, where our goal mission offers at-risk youth positive options and mentors with every effort to assist them on the road to becoming productive model members of society.
We provide a six-core after-school and summer care programs for children ages 6-18, where we focus on the following:
In order to successfully expedite the six-core program, the organization plan to connect with volunteers and professionals to help create a positive impact in the future. Our aim is to partner with local schools, community leaders, peer groups, and neighbors to work together to create sustainable and happy families for future generations by working with today’s youth to discover their potential and how to work through to achieve them.
Vision: To provide a positive alternative through recreational, educational tools, and life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged at-risk youth in neighborhoods where inferior educational opportunities present obstacles to limitations or the advancement of our youth, child obesity, family dysfunctions, narcotics trafficking, drug abuse, gun violence, and teen pregnancy.
Mission: To build a community group that promotes positive mentors that will enable and empower youths to rise above their circumstances, to see a pathway forward, to set goals/benchmarks and achieve them, whether through services, development, leadership, civic engagement, advocating on the road to becoming productive model members of society, or simply being a soft shoulder to let their cares be heard and soothed; "Whatever It Takes to Build Great Futures".

Target Demographics: Youth in at-risk neighborhoods where negative influences of narcotics trafficking, drug abuse, gun violence, teen pregnancy, obesity, family dysfunction, and inferior educational opportunities present obstacles limiting opportunities for the advancement of our youths.
Direct Beneficiaries Per Year: Over 10,000 youth ages 6-18
Geographic Areas Served: New Castle County & Surrounding Areas, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, New Jersey & Maryland
Programs: DE Titans Youth Basketball empowers youth to support and influence their community by fostering fundamental integrity, meaningful relationships, and a positive self-image. Education & Career Development enables youth to leverage education and technology into future employment opportunities. Healthy Life Skills promote positive behavior that helps kids nurture their own well-being, sets personal goals, and develop the self-sufficiency to grow into responsible adults. The Arts encourage creative exploration and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of arts and crafts, performing arts, and creative writing. Sports, Fitness & Recreation develops fitness, social skills, and teamwork while promoting the positive use of leisure time through healthy exercise. Through these and other programs, including Technical Training Center and fun summer excursions camp, members are equipped with the skills and values that they need to seize important opportunities and achieve success.
